Danny - a policeman framed for a murder he didn't commit, he was sentenced to 30 years in one of the state's worst prisons. Being incarcerated brings a host of dangers, but being a cop increased it a thousandfold. Danny was systematically abused by both inmates and guards and to his surprise found his relationships in prison were more arousing and filling (in more ways than one!) than those he had had as a free man. After finding his place in the prison hierarchy, he also began to enjoy the task of "breaking in" new inmates. After seven long years, the conspiracy was uncovered, Danny was released and reinstated to his former position with a full pardon. He was, however, a changed man. Not only had he plated himself with an additional 20 pounds of hard and hard-won muscle, he found that he wanted - no, needed - his relations with his buddies hard and rough.
Everything now is a matter of aggression and dominance - if he can force his buddy into submission - which he usually can - he will take him brutally. Over and over again. He enjoys breaking men - physically and mentally.
In those rare cases where he is the loser, being beaten and topped by a man who can best Danny is enough to drive this LEO over the edge.
I find with the "Derl" molds are the most eerily fitting on my face - and it's also quite eerie how one's voice and mannerisms can change based on the mask being worn. The name of this mask - The Recidivist - did help direct the thought processes a bit, but I was thinking "cop" when I pulled it on and looked in the mirror. Also, I have to admit that there are a number of superb YouTube videos with both a police and punk/thug theme using this mask, so I wasn't completely free from any undue influence. The concept of "distorting a virtue" versus "developing a vice" appealed to me and I can really get into Danny's dual nature ...
